Cessna Caravan

The Cessna Caravan is one of the pillars of our fleet, particularly appreciated for its versatility and reliability. This turboprop fixed-gear aircraft is equipped with a belly hold that is ideal for short or basic runways.

With its significant boarding capacity (nine seats, one stretcher, 500 kg of freight) and its robustness, the Cessna Caravan is perfectly suited to the varied and sometimes demanding conditions of our island destinations.

It is used for: 

  • Commercial transport (CTA approval): It provides regular services to the islands of Ouessant (Délégation de Service Public) and Belle-Île, offering a practical and fast transport solution for islanders and visitors.
  • First flights: For those who want to discover the pleasure of flying, the Cessna Caravan is ideal for first flights, offering breathtaking views and an unforgettable experience.
  • Pilot training (ATO approval): Finistair is a training centre where professional pilots come to take their qualification on the Cessna Caravan.

Velis Electro

We are proud to have integrated the Pipistrel Velis Electro into our fleet, the first certified 100% electric aircraft. This innovative aircraft is proof of our commitment to innovation and sustainability.

The Velis Electro features green technology, running entirely on electricity and producing zero CO2 emissions, helping to reduce the carbon footprint of our flight operations. It is also silent, minimising noise pollution and providing a particularly quiet flying experience.

It is used to fly between Brest and Ouessant to transport blood samples, as well as offering first flights in an electric aircraft.

Diamond DA-40

The Diamond DA-40 is a versatile aircraft, renowned for its performance and reliability.

Within Finistair, it is mainly used for aerial surveillance missions of green algae and shellfish fishing as part of our Special Operation Approval (SOA). This aircraft is equipped to monitor the coastline and surrounding waters.
