Explore Alderney (Aurigny)

Situated in the English Channel, around 15 km from the Normandy coast and 100 km south of the English coast, Alderney is the third largest of the Channel Islands. Covering an area of around 8 km², it has just over 2,000 inhabitants. It is part of the Bailiwick of Guernsey, a dependency of the British Crown, but has its own legislation. Unspoilt, wild and peaceful, Alderney has a timeless atmosphere, spectacular coastal scenery and rich biodiversity. Just 22 kilometres from the French coast, Jersey is the second closest part of the UK to France, after Alderney.
